Holzwickede (dpa / lnw) – After a house fire with high six-figure damage, a resident of Holzwickede was temporarily arrested on suspicion of serious arson. The suspect had previously been discovered in a garage next to the family home, the district police in Unna announced on Monday. The fire was reported around 3:50 a.m. early Monday morning, according to police. The house was completely destroyed by the flames and is in danger of collapsing. According to initial estimates, the damage is around 400,000 euros. A police spokeswoman did not want to comment on the background and the suspicion of the resident. This is the subject of further investigations.
