Viersen (dpa / lnw) – A 59-year-old man died in an apartment fire in Viersen. When the helpers arrived on Sunday night, the 59-year-old was no longer alive, the police in Viersen said on Monday. Police investigations have ruled out arson as the cause of the fire. There were also no indications of a technical defect. “According to the current status of the investigation, the reason for the fire in the apartment resulting in death is an accident,” the police said.
