Cologne (dpa / lnw) – Ten days after the discovery of the body of a 62-year-old woman in a stream in Cologne, the police are looking for the driver of a blue SUV with Siegburg license plates. As the investigations after the body was found, the 62-year-old was involved in a traffic accident three days before her death and hit by an SUV, a police spokeswoman reported on Monday.
She then told her relatives about the accident and the injuries she had sustained. She probably did not contact the police and rescue workers herself and went home without medical care. Three days later she lay dead in the creek in the Dellbrück district.
An autopsy should now clarify whether the woman’s death was due to the accident. The police are now looking for witnesses to the accident on August 16 and the driver of the accident.
