The 58-year-old taxi driver and his 61-year-old wife and a man injured in the accident were hospitalized, the police said on Friday. According to police reports, the 58-year-old tried to turn around in his taxi on Thursday. In the area of ??a construction site, a light rail system caught the car. The 90 occupants of the train and their drivers were unharmed, but the taxi threw onto the sidewalk and into the facade of a pizzeria. A 22-year-old injured his foot and was later taken to the hospital.
The driver, people from the pizzeria and several onlookers then clashed, it said. First they yelled at each other. Finally, a man grabbed a wooden slat – believed to have come from a bank that was destroyed in the accident – and tried to hit the taxi driver. Instead, he caught the driver’s wife on the head with his throw, who had also come to the scene of the accident and fell to the ground after the hit. The thrower fled. A 23-year-old is said to have hit the taxi driver with a cobblestone. The material damage to the train and taxi is estimated at 15,000 euros and at the building at 20,000 euros.
