Essen (dpa / lnw) – After a brawl between members of hostile family clans at the end of June last year, the Essen public prosecutor’s office brought charges against a 26-year-old suspect. The man is said to have stabbed an opponent in the neck with a carpet knife during the mass brawl in Essen-Altendorf with numerous participants, said a spokesman for the Essen district court on Tuesday. The victim suffered life-threatening injuries. Investigations against six other suspected participants were ongoing, said a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office.
