Dortmund (dpa / lnw) – After a fire in an apartment building in the Mengede district of Dortmund, the police are investigating a resident for serious arson. A spokeswoman did not want to give any further details with reference to the ongoing investigations on Wednesday. According to the fire department, the tenant’s apartment was on fire on Tuesday morning when rescue workers arrived. The woman and her children, aged between two and four, had already left the house and were taken to the hospital as a precaution. After airing the neighboring apartments, the other tenants were able to return to the building.
