Sankt Augustin (dpa / lnw) – A supposedly dangerous liquid that leaked from a truck container caused a large-scale operation by the fire brigade and a complete closure of the A560 near Sankt Augustin (Rhein-Sieg district) on Monday afternoon. According to the fire department, there was ultimately no danger. The initially unknown leaked liquid was probably condensation or rainwater.
A tire had previously burst on the truck, whereupon the driver parked it on the hard shoulder. Then the leaking of the liquid was noticed. The autobahn near Sankt Augustin was therefore temporarily closed in the direction of Bonn. The fire brigade responded with around 70 emergency services.
