Hürth (dpa / lnw) – Because an employee of a doctor’s office in Hürth (Rhein-Erft-Kreis) discovered an unknown substance in a mail item, the police cordoned off the surrounding area on Thursday. Assumptions as to which substance is involved do not yet exist, said a spokesman. The woman alerted the officials immediately after finding it.
According to the information, an analytical task force from the fire brigade is on site and is checking the situation. There is therefore no danger for bystanders such as passers-by or neighbors, as the police announced on Twitter. In addition, there is no one who needs acute medical help.
