Essen (dpa / lnw) – Showers, isolated thunderstorms and significantly cooler: The weather in North Rhine-Westphalia remains changeable at the end of the week. The early summer temperatures are taking a break, as a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) reported on Saturday. With a maximum of 13 to 15 degrees and lots of clouds, Sunday is the coolest day of the long Ascension weekend. It can rain again and again. Storms with heavy rain are not expected. According to the DWD, ground frost is possible in the high areas of NRW on Monday night.
At the beginning of the new week, the meteorologists continue to expect changeable weather. Isolated showers can therefore occur again, but the forecasts are still uncertain. At least it will be a little warmer every day from Monday, according to the DWD expert. On Wednesday (June 1st) the 20 degree mark could already be broken again.
