Essen (dpa / lnw) – The weather is damp and cold at the beginning of the week. A low has hit North Rhine-Westphalia and is only slowly shifting to the east, according to the German Weather Service on Monday. It could snow down to the lower elevations. Slush and a thin layer of fresh snow increased the risk of ice. The maximum temperature is four degrees. According to the forecast, it will remain similarly cold for the remainder of the week. When it rains, the streets threaten to be slippery afterwards.
