Möhnesee (dpa / lnw) – A 22-year-old motorcyclist collided with a stationary police patrol car in Möhnesee (Soest district) and was critically injured. The man was transported to a special clinic on Friday evening after emergency medical care with a rescue helicopter, the police said on Saturday.
Two officers had just recorded an accident and were sitting in the vehicle with the hazard warning lights, blue lights and a warning sign on the side of the road when the 22-year-old apparently unbraked and hit the car from behind at high speed. The two police officers suffered minor injuries from the force of the impact. The 32-year-old and the 24-year-old were also taken to a hospital. The exact cause of the accident was initially unclear.
