Cologne (dpa / lnw) – The fireworks spectacle “Cologne Lights” will be canceled again next year. The organizers announced on Tuesday whether the event, which used to be attended by hundreds of thousands of people every year, will ever take place again. People are more reluctant to buy tickets than they used to be, and support from some sponsors is also questionable because of the difficult economic situation. “We’re talking about hundreds of thousands of euros that are missing,” said organizer Werner Nolde. This means that one is “far away from financing”.
