Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – When a cyclist collided with a motorcyclist in Düsseldorf, one person was killed and two were seriously injured. A 77-year-old cyclist wanted to cross a street, the police reported on Monday.
Although a column of cars approached him, they slowed down, possibly to turn right. At that moment, however, several motorcycles would have overtaken the cars. Motorcyclists and cyclists are likely to have been blocked from each other’s view by the cars.
When cutting back in, a 51-year-old motorcyclist and his 59-year-old passenger hit the cyclist with his heavy machine with full force. The cyclist died at the scene of the accident, and the motorcyclist and pillion were taken to the hospital with serious injuries on Sunday.
