Bielefeld (dpa / lnw) – Coach Daniel Scherning from the second division soccer team Arminia Bielefeld would like to take the next step out of the sporting crisis with his team. Six days after the home win against FC St. Pauli, the next points should follow on Friday (6.30 p.m. / Sky) at bottom of the table Greuther Fürth.

“You can tell from the general mood when a team has won. That was one step and on Friday we can take another one. I don’t have the feeling that anyone is leaning back,” said Scherning on Wednesday.

The recent sense of achievement was good after four defeats in a row. “We showed a reaction to the game in Stuttgart. That was very important for us internally. But that’s no reason to sit back,” commented Scherning.

Against the Fürth and their new coach Alexander Zorniger it is important to confirm the performance. Like Bielefeld, the team played in the Bundesliga last season and is currently in a relegation battle in the second division. “When you get relegated, it’s a brutal challenge and a huge task to get your bearings and find your way again,” says Scherning, who left personal changes in his starting XI open.
