Euskirchen (dpa / lnw) – The German Weather Service (DWD) warned of severe thunderstorms in parts of North Rhine-Westphalia on Friday. In the Märkisch district, the Hochsauerland and the districts of Olpe and Siegen-Wittgenstein, there was a risk in the early evening that storms and lightning could cause serious damage to buildings and trees could be uprooted. The DWD also warned of local flooding. At around 6:30 p.m., the experts lifted the warning.
