Viersen (dpa / lnw) – A 79-year-old woman was tied up and seriously injured in a robbery in her apartment in Viersen on the Lower Rhine. Many details about the case are still unclear because the injured victim has not yet been heard in detail, a police spokesman said on Friday. According to initial findings, it is assumed that two men overwhelmed the 79-year-old in her apartment on Thursday. They were then able to escape with cash. A neighbor eventually called the police.
