Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – Second division soccer team Fortuna Düsseldorf will not take their professional Nana Ampomah with them to the training camp in Marbella. The club announced this on Thursday via Twitter after the offensive player only reported late in Düsseldorf three days after the start of training. The 27-year-old, who last played a competitive game for Fortuna in September 2020, will initially train with the U23 team.

Ampomah was signed in 2019 for around three million euros, his contract expires this summer. The team from Düsseldorf will start the training camp in Andalusia next Sunday.
