Lippe (dpa / lnw) – First responders got an accident victim out of his car just in time before the car caught fire. The 72-year-old got into oncoming traffic in Lippe on Thursday and collided with a truck. Witnesses came to his aid and got the man out of his demolished vehicle at the last second. As soon as the 72-year-old was safe, the car caught fire and burned out completely, the police said on Friday. The pensioner was taken to the hospital, the truck driver was in shock.
