Bielefeld (dpa / lnw) – Bundesliga relegated Arminia Bielefeld has completed his coaching team for the coming season. Kai Hesse (36), who last worked at Hannover 96, will be assistant coach to the new Arminia coach Uli Forte. The experienced Michael Henke will also remain in Bielefeld, as the East Westphalians announced on Saturday. The 65-year-old, longtime assistant coach to Ottmar Hitzfeld at Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich, came to Arminia in April.

The team also includes goalkeeping coach Marco Kostmann, assistant coach Sebastian Hille and athletics coach Niklas Klasen. Kostmann took over the team as interim coach after splitting up with Frank Kramer on April 20, but didn’t manage to stay up.

“We are very pleased that we were able to continue working with Michael Henke and at the same time add a meticulous and versatile team player to the coaching staff in Kai Hesse. We are very well positioned and look forward to the start of training today,” said Sporting Director Samir Arabi on Saturday.
