Essen (dpa / lnw) – During the Martin procession in the Heisingen district of Essen, the Martin actor pulled through the district on Monday evening for lack of a horse as a passenger on a heavy motorcycle. The horse had become ill and a replacement could not be obtained at short notice, said a spokesman for the local advertising community. The advertising community relied on the motorcycle as a “replacement horse”. Martin handed out lollipops to children from the motorcycle seat. There were no problems – the horse on wheels arrived safely.
