Wuppertal (dpa / lnw) – When the 9-euro tickets in the form of a ticket went on sale in Wuppertal on Monday, there was a printer breakdown at the beginning. The Wuppertaler Stadtwerke spoke of a small printer breakdown that occurred briefly in the customer center and a little longer in some private sales outlets, as a company spokesman explained on request. The “Westdeutsche Zeitung” had previously reported online about technical problems on Monday morning.
According to the media report, customers who had been queuing in front of a customer center before 9 a.m. were initially sent away again. Initially, the 9-euro tickets could not have been printed out. The problem was solved shortly before 10 a.m., as the newspaper reported, citing the municipal utilities.
The Wuppertal Stadtwerke had already started selling the 9-euro tickets online via their app on Wednesday, well ahead of other local transport companies. Since then, more than 7,000 units have been sold in this way, the municipal utilities announced on Monday.
