Dortmund (dpa / lnw) – After corona-related failures in the past two years, the music festival Juicy Beats started on Friday in Dortmund’s Westfalenpark. “Finally demolition again! We are looking forward to seeing you indescribably,” said the organizers in the program booklet. Several DJs got things started on Friday afternoon, and the German-speaking rapper Kontra K was expected in the evening.

With artists like Rin, Juju and BHZ, many rappers are coming to Dortmund for the 25th edition of the festival. The Bonn brass pop band Querbeat will also be playing, and the Swiss singer-songwriter Faber is expected on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday evening, the Berlin formation K.I.Z. then rap again in the foreground. The program ends early Sunday morning.

The Dortmunder Stadtwerke (DSW21) have increased the capacities on the Stadtbahn lines from the main station in the direction of the festival site, among other things because of Juicy Beats. Tens of thousands of fans are also expected to attend Borussia Dortmund’s “Family Celebration” in nearby Signal Iduna Park on Sunday.
