North Rhine-Westphalia: man dies in an apartment fire: investigations into the cause of the fire

Witten (dpa / lnw) – A man died in an apartment fire in Witten. The fire broke out on Thursday from an initially unclear cause, the fire department said. The emergency services found the lifeless man in the smoky house, took him outside and handed him over to the emergency services. However, he was only able to determine the death of the man, who, according to the fire department, should have been older. Dozens of emergency services extinguished the fire, the operation was over after about two hours. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
