Lippstadt (dpa / lnw) – A drunk man in Lippstadt did not want to let the fire brigade into his burning apartment. The emergency services were alerted on Sunday evening because smoke was pouring out of the kitchen. When the fire brigade arrived, the 67-year-old resident stood on the balcony and refused to open the door. Only after a long persuasion did he finally open it. The emergency services had to pull him out of his burning apartment with combined forces, the police said on Monday. In the alcohol test, he brought it to a value of 2.5 per mille. The fire brigade was able to quickly extinguish the kitchen fire, which was caused by a pot left on the stove.
