Gelsenkirchen (dpa / lnw) – A man was stabbed and seriously injured during a dispute. The argument began verbally on Friday evening in a café in Gelsenkirchen-Erle and escalated on the street in front of it. It was a relationship conflict, said a police spokesman. However, no information was initially given about a suspect. Rescue workers treated the 49-year-old victim and took him to a hospital. The investigations into the crime and the background were still ongoing on Saturday, it said.
