Wuppertal (dpa / lnw) – A massive radio interference demanded patience from many passengers of the Wuppertal suspension railway at the start of the week: The famous railway, the central public transport system in the city, fell out for hours, as the Wuppertal municipal works announced on Monday.
The cause was a disrupted radio connection between the control center and the trains. By noon, the train had almost completely stopped. The public utilities finally decided together with the manufacturer to restart the affected systems. The suspension railway was able to resume operations at 12.45 p.m. The exact cause of the error will now be analyzed. Tens of thousands of people use the suspension railway every working day.
