Düsseldorf (dpa/lnw) – In the first half of the year, 1,564 people were deported from North Rhine-Westphalia to their countries of origin or to the EU state into which they first entered. This emerges from a response from the state government to a request from two AfD members of the state parliament, which was published on Friday.
People with Albanian (159), North Macedonian (152), Serbian (137), Algerian (113), Syrian (74) and Afghan (69) citizenship were deported most frequently.
As of the end of June, according to the state government, 17,545 people in North Rhine-Westphalia had a toleration due to missing travel documents and 4961 people had a toleration for people with an unclear identity.
