Bielefeld (dpa / lnw) – The North Rhine-Westphalian Greens top candidate Mona Neubaur campaigned at the state delegates’ conference in Bielefeld for the acceptance of the coalition agreement with the CDU. She reminded her party that after May’s state election, voters expected the Greens to assume government responsibilities. The 226 delegates are scheduled to vote on Saturday afternoon.
Neubaur spoke of a “tough reality out there”. “We will feel the effects of the Ukraine war in NRW. What happens when the heating season begins but there is not enough gas?” said Neubaur.
You understand that there is justified criticism of the layout of the departments. But the Greens would not have given up agriculture and consumer protection lightly. But now the state planning and thus the handling of land use is the responsibility of the Greens.
“The contract will improve the future in NRW,” said Neubaur. The delegates had already greeted her with prolonged applause before her speech at the start of the state party conference.
