Cologne (dpa / lnw) – On the motorways in North Rhine-Westphalia, the traffic situation is much more relaxed after the large Pentecost wave of travel on Friday afternoon. The Department of Transportation’s online map showed significantly fewer dusty areas on Saturday than on Friday. According to an overview of the WDR traffic situation, the traffic jams at different times of the day on Saturday only added up to a mid-double-digit value – mostly between 30 and 40 kilometers. On Friday afternoon, on the other hand, there were several hundred kilometers in total on the NRW motorways. A wave of return trips is expected by the ADAC North Rhine on Monday.
