Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – After heavy losses in the Corona crisis, North Rhine-Westphalia’s airports have significantly more passengers again, but are far from the pre-crisis level. In July, around 1.9 million passengers used the airports, almost half more than in the same period last year, the state statistics office announced on Monday. In July 2019, however, there were 2.4 million passengers. The largest airport in North Rhine-Westphalia is Düsseldorf, ahead of Cologne/Bonn. There are also scheduled flights to Dortmund, Weeze/Lower Rhine, Münster/Osnabrück and Paderborn/Lippstadt.
