Bochum-Langendreer (dpa/lnw) – Part of the Rudolf Steiner School in Bochum-Langendreer burned on Saturday evening. According to the Bochum fire brigade, a wooden pavilion with two classrooms and several garbage cans were on fire. The facade, the gable roof and the floor of the pavilion standing on stands were particularly affected by the fire. “The extinguishing work was very complex because the ceiling had to be removed from the inside,” said fire department spokesman Martin Weber of “WAZ”. During the extinguishing work, a firefighter slipped and suffered minor injuries. A spokesman for the police said on Sunday that the amount of damage and the cause of the fire had yet to be determined.
