Blankenheim (dpa / lnw) – When three primary school classes visited a police station in Blankenheim (Euskirchen district), a shot was unintentionally fired when a service pistol was shown. No one was injured, the police in Euskirchen said about the incident on Tuesday. The projectile went through a stud wall and got stuck in a cupboard behind it. The official had previously taken the pistol from the service safe to show it to the little guests. The third graders visited the town hall, which also houses the police. There is no evidence of a crime, police said. There was property damage. The investigations into the course of events would be conducted with the public prosecutor’s office in Aachen.
