Copenhagen (dpa / lnw) – Almost a year after his separation from Fortuna Düsseldorf, Uwe Rösler is to become head coach of the Danish first division club Aarhus GF, according to a media report. As the newspaper “Ekstra Bladet” reported on Monday, the German is to be presented as the new AGF coach in the near future and thus become the successor to the Dane David Nielsen. This has not yet been officially confirmed by the club from Denmark’s second largest city.
The 53-year-old is already familiar with Scandinavia: At the beginning of his coaching career, the former GDR international and Manchester City forward of many years coached various Norwegian clubs before moving to various clubs in England. Before his time in Düsseldorf, Rösler had last been on the bench at the top Swedish club Malmö FF.
