Mönchengladbach (dpa / lnw) – After throwing glass bottles in downtown Mönchengladbach, a 34-year-old man spent the night in police custody. Callers reported that he was also shouting and that passers-by felt threatened, the police said on Monday. Police officers drove there, but could not calm the man down. Therefore, they decided to take the rioter into custody to prevent further crimes. Because the noticeably drunk man resisted, he was tied up. He didn’t want to do a breath alcohol test, so a doctor took a blood sample. The next morning, the 34-year-old, now sober and calm, was released, the police said.
