Krefeld (dpa / lnw) – In a room fire in an apartment building in Krefeld, a disabled man with burn injuries and smoke poisoning was rescued by the fire brigade. As the fire brigade announced on Sunday, the emergency services found him next to a burning sofa and took him outside via the stairwell. Another resident and a resident were transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure with smoke inhalation, according to a spokesman. The fire did not spread to the other apartments. It was initially unclear how the fire started. The spokesman was also unable to provide any information about the amount of damage caused.
