Paderborn (dpa / lnw) – SC Paderborn 07 has resumed preparations for the second half of the Bundesliga season. Head coach Lukas Kwasniok was able to work on the training ground with his entire team on Tuesday after the two-week Christmas break. “In the preparation we have three things in mind: regaining the ball, protecting against the back line and a better record with set pieces,” explained Kwasniok.
After the first half of the season, Paderborn are sixth in the table, seven points behind relegation place three. Kwasniok believes the former Bundesliga club will become active in the transfer window that runs until the end of the month. “The squad will certainly change by January 31. That’s in the nature of things,” said the coach. From January 9th to 18th, the East Westphalians will contest a training camp near Murcia in Spain. Before that, a test match against the third division club MSV Duisburg is planned for Saturday.
