Essen (dpa/lnw) – A smoke detector warned the residents of a fire in an apartment building in Essen. The fire broke out in a man’s apartment on Wednesday evening, as the fire brigade announced on Thursday. Most residents had left the house in the Bochold district independently before the emergency services arrived, and the resident had accommodated the fire department in the stairwell. Nobody was injured. The fire brigade extinguished the fire and smoke the building. The cause of the fire was initially unclear, the police were determined.
