Wesel (dpa / lnw) – A swimmer in the Rhine near Wesel ensured a major rescue operation on Saturday. Witnesses saw the man almost collide with a ship, police said on Sunday night. When he reached the opposite bank, the swimmer was approached by rescue workers from a summoned helicopter. However, the man refused their help and walked away in only his swimming trunks in the direction of the B58.
