Nieheim (dpa / lnw) – Three children and one adult were injured in a car accident in the Höxter district. The 38-year-old driver of the car lost control of his car in a long left-hand bend for initially unknown reasons, skidded and left the road, the police said on Friday. The car then hit the embankment, overturned and came to a stop in the ditch. According to the report, a five-year-old was thrown out of the car and taken to the hospital by helicopter with serious injuries. However, she was not in mortal danger.

The other occupants of the car, an eight-year-old girl, a two-year-old boy and the 38-year-old driver, were also taken to hospital with injuries. The accident site remained closed for almost two hours after the accident in the morning.
