Krefeld (dpa / lnw) – In Krefeld, a patrol car crossed an intersection at a red traffic light on Saturday and collided with another car. The two drivers were seriously injured on Saturday, the passenger in the patrol car slightly, the police said.

When on duty, the police have special rights that allow them to cross intersections when they are red. The 24-year-old driver of the police car reportedly felt her way into the intersection area. She, the 43-year-old driver of the other car and the 22-year-old passenger seat officer with minor injuries were taken to nearby hospitals. The two badly damaged cars were towed away.
