Cologne (dpa / lnw) – Two people were injured in a fire in a high-rise building in the Neuehrenfeld district of Cologne on Friday. Several callers had reported to the fire department early in the morning that smoke and flames were coming from an eleventh-floor apartment, a spokesman said. The apartment tenant and a neighbor suffered smoke inhalation and were brought outside by the rescue workers. The other residents had already left the building on their own. The fire was extinguished after about an hour. The cause of fire was unclear for the moment.
