Siegburg (dpa / lnw) – Witnesses became aware of a drug hiding place in a warehouse in Siegburg (Rhein-Sieg district) through a pungent smell of chemicals. The total value of the substances found is estimated at one million, the police said on Wednesday.
According to the information, the witnesses first noticed a “stench” smelling “of solvents” on Monday. At the warehouse from which he started, they then met a man who, however, wanted to save himself by making excuses. So they went into the hall – and found countless packages there. The stranger, in turn, quickly took two of them and fled in a white van.
According to the police, there were three water tanks filled with earth in the hall, from which the harmless smell emanated. In addition, officers discovered 170 kilograms of marijuana and about 2 kilograms of amphetamines. The man was initially searched for.
