A red cross spokesman detailed that one of the deceased had perished after drinking water from the sea and due to lack of food.
His woman, who went with him on board, survived.
Helena Maleno, spokesman for walking borders, notes that they have not stopped receiving “desperate” calls from France, Costa de Ivory, Guinea and Morocco, asking about family and relatives who were in this pare are alive or dead.
