US star Nick Cannon never planned an extended family. At the age of 41, baby number eight is already on the way. However, the upcoming child could be his last, as the entertainer reveals on the show “Daily Pop”.

Has the desire to have children been sufficiently satisfied? At least that’s the view comedian, presenter and rapper Nick Cannon seems to have. The star is considering a vasectomy ahead of the birth of baby number eight, who he is expecting with model Bre Tiesi later this year. The moderator of the US version of “The Masked Singer” revealed this as a virtual guest on the “Daily Pop” show.

“I’ve been to the vasectomy consultation,” he confided to hosting duo Justin Sylvester and Loni Love. A vasectomy is an operation that is intended to ensure that no more fertilizable sperm get into the ejaculation, thus sterilizing the man. “I don’t want to populate the entire world,” he joked. It also allows him to give his existing children the love and attention they deserve.

Cannon also revealed that he didn’t exactly plan on being the father of so many children at the age of 41. But he has never regretted it: It was a “gift” and a “blessing”, according to Mariah Carey’s ex-husband. “I find comfort and peace in my children, and I find purpose in life.”

Cannon has 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with pop star Carey. Dancer Brittany Bell gave birth to two other children, five-year-old son Golden and eleven-year-old daughter Powerful. Cannon became the father of twins again thanks to his ex Abby De La Rosa, who gave him the boys Zion and Zillion eleven months ago. His seventh child by Alyssa Scott, son Zen, died of a brain tumor last December at just five months old.

Cannon’s new girlfriend is model Bre Tiesi. It will be her first child. She regularly posts pictures of her baby bump on Instagram. “You’re already the best thing I’ve ever done. I love you,” enthuses the 31-year-old about her unborn child. The couple revealed they are a boy at a gender reveal party.
