The historic trade unionist Suso Díaz, father of Yolanda Díaz, will close the list of Podemos, Esquerda Unida and Alianza Verde in A Coruña in the local elections on May 28.
Suso Díaz, who led the Workers’ Commissions in Galicia, a worker from Astano and an active anti-Franco militant, has joined the project headed by the candidate for Mayor and former Councilor for Culture of A Coruña José Manuel Sande.
The list headed by Sande as an independent unites Podemos with Esquerda Unida, who already had candidates presented, but have stepped aside as they understand that the current candidate brings together more sensibilities.
Sources of his candidacy have advanced this Tuesday that Suso Díaz, from Ferrol, father of the current second vice president of the Government and leader of Sumar, will close it.
Sande himself already participated a few days ago in the Sumar act in which Yolanda Díaz announced that she would lead a project for the next generals.
This candidacy of Unidas Podemos in A Coruña is one of the two proposed by the rupturist left in A Coruña for the 28M, since the Atlantic Tide is also presented, of which Sande was a part.
Unidas Podemos seeks unity between both candidacies, although the Atlantic Tide has ruled it out, since in this mandate they went together, and the mayors of Unidas Podemos decided to remain in the group of non-attached.
