Patricia Schlesinger has now pulled the ripcord and resigned as director of Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) (stern reported). This was preceded by massive allegations of mismanagement and favoritism against the 61-year-old. The most important allegations at a glance:

These and a number of other allegations (for example, Schlesinger’s salary increase) have not yet been proven, and the actions may all have been permissible. The RBB announced an investigation. But apparently the allegations weigh heavily enough that the director felt compelled to resign. She rejected the allegations of felt and waste and spoke in a statement of “personal allegations and defamation”. Schlesinger was not available for an interview.
