Jerry Hall filed for divorce in California from Rupert Murdoch, media mogul.

Six years after their marriage, the petition stated that there were “irreconcilable disagreements” between them.

The 66-year-old actress and model is seeking spousal support from the billionaire, who is 91 years old, but the petition stated that he is still looking for information about his full assets.

Ms. Hall was once the partner of Mick Jagger, the Rolling Stones’ drummer.

This will be Mr Murdoch’s fourth divorce. The split was reported by the US media.

Murdoch, whose News Corporation empire includes major outlets such as Fox News and The Wall Street Journal in the US and The Sun and The Times here in the UK, was previously reported to have been dedicating more time to his wife.

The billionaire, at the time of his marriage, announced on Twitter that “the luckiest and happiest man on earth” and that he would cease posting on the platform.

His elder son Lachlan was named his successor as Fox Corp’s chief executive officer in 2018. Mr Murdoch also sold most 21st Century Fox assets to the Walt Disney Company.

They were also seen together on numerous occasions.

According to the New York Times, Ms. Hall was last year seen “doting” on her partner at his 90th Birthday party.

The Texan model and actress was in a long-term relationship before she married Mr Jagger. They had four children together. In 1990, the couple tied the knot at a Hindu wedding in Bali, Indonesia. A decade later, the marriage was declared invalid by London’s High Court of Justice. This court ruled that the marriage was not legal under British or Indonesian law.

From 1956 to 1967, Mr Murdoch was married to Patricia Booker (Australian flight attendant), Anna Mann (Scotland), from 1967 to 1999, and Wendi Deng (Chinese-born entrepreneur), from 1999 to 2014.

The couple has 10 children from their many marriages.
