The military school of Saint-Cyr again at the heart of serious accusations. The Versailles prosecutor’s office said on Friday that it had opened a preliminary investigation into the counts of “rape and sexual assault” after accusations against a student at the military high school in Saint-Cyr-L’Ecole (Yvelines).
Two complaints have so far reached the prosecution. “Investigations are underway,” said the same source, confirming information from Liberation.

The Versailles research brigade, with the support of the Research Section, was responsible for the investigation. The army had indicated Thursday that an internal investigation had been opened by the establishment.
“Young women, students in the preparatory class for the Grandes Ecoles, reported to their gender referent about a situation of sexual harassment by a male student against young women in his class”, according to the same source. “Given the clarity of the concordant testimonies against the alleged perpetrator”, the head of the high school body removed the alleged perpetrator from the establishment and denounced the facts to the gendarmerie.
Thursday, Colonel Benoît Brulon, spokesman for the army, stressed that the suspect had been “handed over to his family until the end of the ongoing investigations”, welcoming that the measures had been taken on Monday , the day of the denunciation of the facts.

The press release specifies that the intervention and psychological support cell of the Army (CISPAT) has been mobilized.
The prestigious military preparation had already been at the heart, in 2018, of a scandal of moral harassment which had triggered a wave of indignation.
In a letter to President Emmanuel Macron, a 20-year-old girl, a student in preparatory class in Saint-Cyr, had confided in feeling “persecuted” by a group of boys, the “tradis”.
