Dresden (dpa/sn) – Telling stories without words: 27 artists from five countries meet in Dresden for the 37th pantomime theater festival. From this Wednesday (November 2nd) to Sunday there are nine performances in the Rudi Theater on the program, as the organizers announced. For the first time, a group from India will be guests at the festival, and artists from the Czech Republic, Spain, France and Germany will also be on stage for non-verbal movement theatre.
Among other things, a family performance by Laterna Magika from Prague is on the program, which is aimed at small children between six months and three years. The Spanish pantomime Carlos Martinez performs a selection from eight stage programs from the past decades, while the French group Mangano Massip merges gestural theater and masks, marionettes and digital art in the piece “Alice in the Wonderbox”. You can also see an improvisation show with the founder of the festival, Ralf Herzog.
