Dresden (dpa/sn) – In Saxony, 307 women and men have been appointed police officers. The new police officers had completed training at one of the three police schools over the past 30 months. The 237 men and 70 women are now starting their service with the riot police or one of the five police departments, as the Ministry of the Interior in Dresden announced on Tuesday. This year, around 500 candidates for the police profession are to be hired in Saxony.
